Coast2Coast USAjust giving cycle usa

What a fanatastic adventure and all in a worthy cause. What this journey entails is hard physical endeavour, determination and a backside made of leather !To cycle this number of miles is an incredibly difficult enterprise to entertain but the enthusiasm of everyone involved will I am sure prevail and make this a truly rewarding and lifechanging experience. On the other hand it could be seen as lunatics on a spin - pob lwc.

'The amazing Coast 2 Coast guys are undertaking a huge challenge for the Noah’s Ark Appeal and aiming to raise substantial funds to support the Children’s Hospital for Wales and our very young patients. The event will be gruelling but we all appreciate their spirit, enthusiasm and commitment and wish them every success.  Please everyone, get behind these intrepid cyclists and lessen their pain by giving plenty of support.'

Welsh Cycling Supports Coast2Coast-USA Challenge

'Welsh Cycling are delighted to support the ‘C2C’ team on commencement of their Coast to Coast Challenge, across the USA

Gareth, one of the crew, is a keen cyclist and supporter of the Welsh Cycling Community Programme at Newport Velodrome – often encouraging groups of youngster to try cycling and actively supporting them to continue with the sport. Hence Welsh Cycling are impressed to see Gareth lead by example and take up the considerable Challenge!

We wish the team every success in their attempt and are encouraging all Welsh Cycling members to pledge their support with donations via the Coast to Coast website.  Good luck!'

Ian Jenkins
Welsh Cycling Development Officer

“I know from personal experience to ride 4,000 miles across America is a major feat in itself but to then consider achieving this in fourteen days will present an extreme test of mental and physical endurance which is almost unthinkable.  All I can say is Good Luck – you will need it.  The immense effort required, together with the aim of raising a minimum of £50,000 for the very worthy Noah’s Ark Appeal, deserves full support from everyone and total respect and admiration.”
